Young Visionaries Project is designed around the idea that creative individuals and skilled collaborators make good citizens. As parents of the next generation of makers and leaders, we want to empower them with the social emotional tools, confidence and sensitivity that will help them address the needs of our time. This program is more than just an arts camp, it’s an introduction to a way of collaborative art making that centers the voices of young people, so that they can leave more confident in their knowledge, their sense of self, and more practiced in listening and sharing with others.
Parent Testimonials:
A deeply formative experience that continues to impact our daughter’s life in profound ways.
As a young person making sense of herself and her world(s) at a time of life when feelings, ideas, social bonds, intellectual curiosity, body awareness are in constant flux, cullen+them became her place to work it all through, find her voice and create meaningful work.
The commitment to collaboration and participation in a creative peer group, enabled her to discover and trust her own creative process and learn how to use her personal experience as source material to make artwork that is deeply personal yet resonant for others.
She learned how to see the world as an artist, create a performance piece and create a body of work.
