Who is behind Gensa?
Gensa was founded by a Brooklyn mom who had spent 10+ years running a digital platform and event management company for families in Brooklyn. With all that experience building Brooklyn Bridge Parents she partnered up with a software engineer to develop the first platform for all services, programs and events to connect urban families! For parents, the time-consuming search for quality providers, activities and events is finally over! Gensa is the one-stop solution for all resources family life, easy to navigate and curated!

Why Gensa?
Our name traces back to the Ancient Greek γένος (genos) — meaning offspring. It was later adopted into Aramaic and Classical Syriac as gensa, where it came to mean family. Gensa carries something deeper — not just the people under one roof, but your lineage, your community, your connection. That's exactly what we're building: a place where families find their people.
