Who is behind Gensa?
Gensa was founded by a Brooklyn mom who had spent 10+ years running a digital platform and event management company for families in Brooklyn. With all that experience building Brooklyn Bridge Parents she partnered up with a software engineer to develop the first platform for all services, programs and events to connect urban families! For parents, the time-consuming search for quality providers, activities and events is finally over! Gensa is the one-stop solution for all resources family life, easy to navigate and curated!
Why Gensa?
The word traces back to the Ancient Greek γένος (genos) — meaning offspring. It was later adopted into Aramaic and Classical Syriac as gensa, where it came to mean family.
But not just family as a household. Gensa carries something deeper — lineage, your people, your tribe, your connection.
