We curate, promote and run family events across the city.

Gensa has been programming events for local families for over a decade — with the people who own the plaza, the mall, the block or the budget. If you have a space and a date, we can fill it with families.

What we bring

Four children building with LEGO at an outdoor table during a Gensa street event

Curation, promotion and execution

We plan the programming, line up the vendors and activities, and run the day itself — so the event feels like something families chose, not something they wandered into.

In cooperation with local partners

BIDs, real estate companies, shopping centers, neighborhood associations, cultural institutions and brands. Some partners bring the space, some the budget, most a bit of both.

From 30 to 3,000+ participants

Outdoor and indoor events, classes and workshops — a workshop in a storefront, a seasonal festival on a plaza, a street fair that takes over the block.

Events we have run

A recap of every event, written the way we write everything else — with photos, and the details that tell you how the day actually went.

Questions partners ask

What kind of family events does Gensa run?

Outdoor and indoor events, classes and workshops — street festivals, seasonal celebrations, mall activations, dance parties, camp fairs and panel breakfasts. Events have ranged from about 30 participants to more than 3,000.

Who does Gensa partner with on events?

Business improvement districts, real estate companies and developers, shopping centers, neighborhood associations, cultural institutions and brands that want to reach local families. Some partners bring the space, some bring the budget, some bring both.

What does Gensa handle, and what does the partner handle?

We curate the programming, line up the vendors and activities, promote the event to local families across our newsletter, news pages and social channels, and run the day itself. Partners typically provide the venue or the funding, and we agree on scope together before anything is booked.

How is the event promoted?

Every event we run is promoted through Gensa's own channels — the family newsletter, the neighborhood news pages, and social. Afterwards we publish a recap with photos, which stays on the site as a record of the event.

How do we start a conversation?

Email hello@gensa.family with your space, your rough timing and what you are hoping the day feels like. We will come back with a plan and a budget range.
