Gensa is built on 13 years of Brooklyn Bridge Parents — a hyperlocal publication parents trusted because it got the neighborhood right. These standards spell out how we review, label, and correct what we publish so parents can keep trusting what they read here.
Editorial review
Every listing and every event on Gensa is reviewed by our editorial team before it goes live. We do not auto-import from aggregators. Paid tiers unlock enhanced visibility (photos, featured placement), but every business on Gensa meets the same quality standard — paid and free alike.
AI transparency
AI assists our editors — it never replaces them. When AI drafts more than 20% of an article’s final copy, the piece carries an “AI-assisted” label. Editors are the final voice, and every published article is fact-checked by a human before it ships. We publish under a single house byline — Gensa Editorial Team — because our editorial standards are collective, not individual.
Sponsored content
Sponsored articles and social posts are always clearly labeled — typically with a (sponsored) suffix on the headline. Editorial recommendations in non-sponsored articles are always independent and never paid-for.
What we will not publish
- No medical or legal advice. We link to qualified sources.
- No school rankings, comparisons, or parenting judgment.
- No demographic characterization of neighborhoods. We describe what's there, not who lives there.
- No identifying minors in news coverage without parental consent.
- No unverifiable superlatives in editorial or sponsored content.
- No partisan political commentary. We cover civic news factually.
