Gensa Brooklyn is here, Manhattan and Queens launching soon!
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so trick-or-treating can start in daylight and run past dark with no school night to worry about. This is our block-by-block list of where the candy and the decorations are in Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, DUMBO, Boerum Hill, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights, Park Slope, Red Hook, Bed-Stuy, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Bay Ridge and Sunset Park, plus every Brooklyn street on the city’s Trick-or-Streets list. Every free Halloween party and parade of the month is in our Halloween Guide 2026.
NYC DOT’s Trick-or-Streets program is back for a fifth year and runs all of October: Open Streets, plazas and other blocks go car-free for harvest and Halloween programming. DOT’s Brooklyn list has 57 Trick-or-Streets events, 40 of them on Halloween itself. Every one is below with DOT’s hours, the Halloween-night streets under their neighborhoods and the rest in date order at the end. DOT says events are subject to delay or cancellation.
Streets marked “Car-free” are on DOT’s Trick-or-Streets list, with DOT’s hours; the others are the classic trick-or-treat blocks.
