A street in DUMBO named one of the 5 most beautiful streets in the world

Architectural Digest has surveyed 71 of the most beautiful streets in the world and one street in Brooklyn made it into the list of most beautiful streets in the world. DUMBO’s Washington Street has been ranked #5th most beautiful street in the world, the only street outside of Europe in the top 5. “For who walk through the cobblestone street in Brooklyn’s Dumbo neighborhood, the sudden sight of Manhattan Bridge might come as a splendid surprise. At the intersection of Washington and Water Street, locals and tourists alike can take in the majestic beauty of the longest bridge connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn (the span bearing the moniker of the former is 866 feet longer than that named after the latter). Of course, making the view all the more dramatic are the symmetrical buildings on either side of Washington Street, creating one of the best architectural photograph opportunities in the borough.”
